Rangantithu Bird Sanctuary

Ranganthittu Bird Sanctuary , is Karnataka's largest bird sanctuary . It is located near Srirangapatna , in Mandya district of Karnataka state. It is  also known as "Pakshi Kashi of Karnataka"  . This place is a must visit for bird lovers  , for the variety of birds coming here . 

The place is located in a peace and calm area, quite away from the city ,making it a perfect weekend getaway to be spent with your family . 

Madikeri !

It was a long weekend , for there were 4 days of continuous holiday . It all began on a quite Thursday evening . The day was the 2 October, the day remembered for birthday of Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi . On this quite afternoon , we just happened to make a small plan for a trip  to Madikeri ,a place around 200km far away , a place well known for the various tourist attractions it hosts  . 

Madikeri, formerly known as Muddu raja keri ,is a hill station town in Karnataka , which was initally  named after the king Mudduraja , is a famous tourist spot in Karnataka . As time passed by , the name gradually shortened to Madikeri , or Mercara .

Mullayanagiri Hills

Mullayanagiri , is a beautiful hill station located around 45 km from  Chikmagalur . It is credited as the highest peak in Karnataka . Standing atop it, one  will be at a height of whopping 1,900 metres (6,300 ft) from the sea level ! With clouds touching your feet , you literally will be on Cloud 9 ! Its one of the best weekend get-away places in Karnataka  .

Trip to Yana !!

Yana  ,a famous tourist attraction , known for the rocks formation , is located about 40km from Sirsi , in the Uttara kannada district . 

There are 2 rock formation here, called as Bhairaveshwara Shikhara and Mohini Shikhara .

Trip To Dudhsagar Water Falls

Dudhsagar , located near the Karnataka Goa border , is a must visit place for real tourists & trekkers . Dudhsagar Falls is a tiered waterfall located on the Mandovi River in the Indian state of Goa on Goa's border with Karnataka state . Dudhsagar Falls is listed as India's fifth tallest waterfall and is 227th in the world at 310 m. Dudhsagar , is a beautiful water falls located in a remote area , Reaching Dudhsagar falls is as adventurous & thrilled as seeing the falls !
